This is a painting I started at home with the color blocked in.

The studio

Today was my first day at the studio. There is a guy here in town that has a studio and I went to see him last Sat. He was kind enough to offer me the use of his studio as he is at work during the week. I have a link to Jason’s blog here so check him out.
I see I will need to bring a clock. Time just flew by and before I knew it, almost 5 hours passed. I had to come home to start supper and lunch just went right out the window. It is so nice to have the room for larger canvas and good light. I brought several canvases I stretched and will tone them tomorrow. As acrylic is a new medium you will be able to follow my progress, pleas leave any comments,

Will's kitchen

Ok I know this is not a painting but my husband is a great cook and I just had to share. I am trying to talk him to setting up his own blog where he can show off his cooking. This is salmon with a lemon juice and teriyaki glaze and the shrimp has teriyaki honey glaze. Wild rice and a spinach, broccoli, red onion, feta cheese with a warm bacon raspberry vinaigrette, and Italian bread and of course a wine to go along. What do you think?

Near Corinth, Ms. 5 x 7

Acrylic is also a new medium for me as I learned to paint using oils. I have not got down the mixing the colors yet and I was used to using many glazes but this is so much cleaner and no smell. I am having to adjust to the paint drying out before I can use it up even using sponges and spraying with the heat we are having just sucks all the moisture up.

New Watercolor Humming Bird and Wisteria

This is one of my new watercolors. It took me about 10 hours to complete. Wisteria Glow 9 x 11.



This watercolor took about 8 hours. I have the little hummers buzzing outside my kitchen window all the time. Fuchsia Hummer 5 x 8.
