Moon Shadows 8x10 Acrylic

Sold

Framed
This is the hay rolls that are seen everywhere around here now. The subject is about as common now as a magnolia here in MS. I put them in the moonlight as a week or so ago we had a full moon and coming home, they looked so pretty. I got some pictures of some in an early morning fog last Friday morning on the way to town. Who know one of them may show up in a painting.
We had the reception at the Old Firehouse in Vicksburg for the Vicksburg Art Association. We had a full house there was 153 pieces in the show from oils, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, drawing, photo color, photo mono, prints, fibers, and 3D. Our judge was Chatham Meade. Alas, I did not win any ribbons in this show but I did have a piece the watercolor Blue Crab get one of the Patrons Purchase Award. I have to gallery sit Wed. morning so I will take some pictures of the work and post it. There were so many people there Sat it was hard to move around.

Blue Crab 6x8

SOLD
Double matt and framed $200.00

I am feeling a little guilty as I did not do the painting for different strokes this week and we had two weeks to complete it. However, alas I had three paintings to complete and get to town matted and framed for the Vicksburg Art Associations Fall show. Then I had my Oz painting to be delivered.
This is my only watercolor in the show and it was done on hot press paper.

Oz 16x 20 acrylic

Sold
This is a commission I had for a picture from the Wizard of Oz. I was asked to do this several months ago to be ready for a Nov. birthday gift. The problem with this is I am not that great with painting people just not enough practice. The second is this is a place from some ones imagination. I read the book to get some inspiration and realized it is not quite like the movie. (Shoes were silver not ruby red) After doing several sketches and thinking a lot about it, this one is the one I settled on doing. At first, I was a little afraid that the trees would be cutting the picture in half but it seemed to work out the best.

Pears and grapes 4X6 watercolor cold press

$60.00
Matted $75.00
My large painting of the Wizard of Oz is almost finished. I have everything down and happy with it all but the figure of Dorothy. I have a mental block on people and just not used to painting them. Therefore, I had to take a little break and do something else. This is a small watercolor from a picture from wet canvas. If you never been to that site you should go give it a visit. I have spent days there.

Cheetah 4X6 watercolor

$40.00
Matted $50.00
Tried a Cheetah in watercolor and could not get the effect I was after. This was on cold press and not the hot press paper. I really need to get back to the zoo now that it is getting cooler so I can get some pictures. The New Orleans Zoo was just great but I have not been since Katrina hit.

Cloud Gate from DSFDF

$40.00

Here is my latest picture from Karin Jurick site, Different Strokes for different folks. I have to admit when I saw it was OMG as this is defiantly something I most likely would never have chosen to paint. But this is what is great about the site. Moreover, for some reason I kept seeing a whale so I might do another one and turn it into a whale.

Giclee Print 14X17 $60.00
Matted $75.00

OMG! I just saw the picture on the Different strokes for different folk’s site what I have gotten my self into. I printed the picture and will have to think on this, as it is way out of my comfort zone. I can’t say if I have ever done any thing like this. EEEEEEEEEEh
Mean while here is another older one. My husband is working up state and called to say he is seeing turkeys all over the place. Therefore, here is my pen and ink turkey 14 x 17.
