Lash

Yesterday was a sad and happy day all in one. Sad that I lost my cat of around 19 to 20 years old and happy that he now is in a better place able to see and chase butterflies and lizards. I believe in heaven and that all my animals will be there in the prime of their life. (And believe me it will be a lot) It is never easy to make the decision to have your furry friend helped to the other side but it is also hard to see them in such confusion. Lash must have had a stroke around Christmas as he could not move his right side very well and would just fall over. He lost his sight some time ago but no one would have ever known as he got around so well. He stared to quit eating and that was our clue that it was time to let him go. Lash was and is the only cat I have ever bought. He was a registered Russian Blue. For those not familiar with the bread it is an old one with a gray coat and each hair tipped with white. The eyes are the most gorgeous green that does not really show until around three years of age. They are very quite and not running all over the place, at least mine was very reserved. He did like to be up very high all over the house and would love to just sit and ride on your shoulder. Goodbye for now my sweet Alashaka. This is a picture of him on a ladder around 2 years of age.

Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a kitty that is getting up there in age and it will break my heart when her time comes. We had to put our dog down a few years back, at least you can do that for them. I found your blog by way of Qiang Huang's site. I love his work and check him daily. In your comment I see you would like to loosen up, I wondered if you have ever painted in oils? Maybe I missed it on your blog. I used to paint acrylics and tight, I switched to oils last winter and love it. For me oils have helped to make me looser. Just a thought. P.S. They're a joy to paint with too. Barb

Hello Barbie so nice to meet you. We are sad but know t was for the best and we do have a house full. We seem to attract strays or wild cats. We catch them have them fixed and if they get along they can stay in the house. Needless to say, our Vet loves us we keep them in business. We lost our dog Tasha 3 years ago and do not have the heart to get another. I painted in oils over 20 years ago but have not used them lately and I do want to get back to using them. Watercolor, pastels, and acrylic are new media I touched on in school the last two years at our local Jr. College. Mr. Huang’s work is very moving and still lives are subjects I have not worked on very much, this is something I will be working on this year.
I do not know if you can click on it but the bottom slide has my early oils. I looked at your site and love your work you are a busy girl. Eugenia
